We've been on our research trip for two weeks with a couple of weeks still to go. We started in Singapore, then went to Malaysia, the Maldives, and India. Here are some photos and explanations, in reverse chronological order.
We visited the Gandhi museum in Mumbai.
Some of the branch members in Mumbai.
A cool family in the branch in Mumbai.
The Gateway of India by the Taj hotel in downtown Mumbai.
The community washing area called Dhobi Ghat where everyone gets their laundry done.
The Hanging Gardens of Mumbai.
THE MALDIVES
The Maldives lived up to everything they've been known for. Spectacular ocean and sky.
We weren't sure about this big fish they barbequed for us, but all the food was delicious.
Our diving/snorkeling guides, with our ship in the background and the capital of the Maldives, Male, behind that.
MALAYSIA
Blue Mosque outside of Kuala Lumpur.
We all had to "cover up" to visit, since Dave and I were wearing shorts.
The Petronas towers in downtown KL.
SINGAPORE
Our hotel in Singapore from the ground.
The food wasn't really this big, but it was this tasty.
